Indian Army foiled a major infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists from across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naugam sector of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

The infiltration bid was foiled on the night of June 3 when a group of terrorists, attempting to infiltrate into the Indian territory, were spotted by a patrol party of the Indian Army.

The group from across the LoC was spotted trying to cross over from the Naugam Sector of North Kashmir.

On being challenged, the infiltrators retrieved back under the cover of darkness and inclement weather.

In a hurry, the infiltrators left behind their rucksacks with winter clothing, batteries and other equipment to be used to cross the fence along the LoC.

Repeated attempts of infiltration in North Kashmir continue to be foiled by the alert and watchful Army units based on sound intelligence, thus blunting the nefarious designs of Pakistan to foment trouble in the Valley.
